Following global trends and the increased need for digitalization within HEP group, IT Department, along with its long-time partner Neos d.o.o., started adopting the doctrine of cloud-native application development with the clear goals of increasing efficiency, speed of delivery, adoption of open source technologies and growth of internal competence.
The presentation will discover motives and reasons for change, tools and methodologies used, as well as the path of adopting the paradigm of cloud application development.

Patrik Franković, author
I work in croatian national electricity company (HEP Ltd) as solution architect since 1999. I'm regular speaker at various Oracle conferences as HrOUG, SrOUG and even Oracle Open World, as well at various electrical energy conferences and symposia.
Zvonko Kutleša, coauthor
My name is Zvonko Kutleša, I work as a solution architect in NEOS d.o.o., cloud-oriented company and Oracle partner. In my career, I've worked with a variety of technologies, from low level smart card programming, machine programming, desktop application development, administration of Windows and Linux machines, to web development, on-site, in the cloud, and in containers. That experience gave me a good foundation for my current professional focus, and that is devops.
