How to build a truly off-line APEX application    Nowadays it is easy to create a fine looking APEX application for use on your phone. But to use this application the users have to be connected to the Internet.   And there are times when their phone is off-line. Maybe they are in a blind spot, traversing a tunnel or in a connectionless cellar. It is not possible to use APEX in these situations. Or? maybe it is possible after all?   Yes, it is possible, but it comes with a price. In this presentation you will learn about creating a true offline APEX application including data entry functionality. The caching of both pages and data will be discussed. One step further is the addition of data entry and synchronization.   During this process we will encounter various techniques like PWA, localStorage and AJAX. To meet our goal it is necessary to write JavaScript code. Luckily the amount of JavaScript code will be limited by the use of a few generic functions.   After this presentation you will know how to create an offline APEX application. You will also be aware of the effort and cost to create such an application.
